Acupressure for Symptom Management

Acupressure for Symptom Management

Monday 23rd January 2012

Acupressure patientAcupressure is an ancient art that involves using the fingers and thumbs to stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities.

The points used are the same as those used in acupuncture, but as needles are not used in acupressure, the  therapy is suitable for patients and clients for whom acupuncture is not appropriate; including those with needle phobia, the very young and very elderly and those with complex problems.

Alternatively it can be applied through clothing and taught to clients to use for themselves, or with family.
